Monthly Practice Session for MBSR Alumni

Have you been a participant in an MBSR program?

Join us via Zoom for this monthly practice group led by members MBSR Teachers Collaborative of Greater New York. Get support in maintaining or deepening your mindfulness practice and explore opportunities to cultivate mindfulness in everyday life. Re-connect with friends and meet others who are bringing these practices into their lives. Themes change every month, and teachers rotate.

Dates: Every 3rd Sunday of the Month, from 5:30 to 7:30pm

This class is offered by donation to support the Ali Forney Center.

November Theme: What We Take In: Cultivating a Mindful Relationship with Media, Information, Technology, and More

Do you feel overwhelmed by the constant shifting of our information landscape? Are you fatigued by the demands of media and technology? Are you curious about consuming more mindfully? Press the "off" button this evening, and revisit core principles and practices from MBSR to nourish you and create more space in your life.

Teachers: Dr. Tushar Bhagat & MT Regan

Dr. Tushar Bhagat is a biomedical scientist and medical school faculty member by day, and teaches MBSR and other stress reduction programs at his Medical institution. He is formally trained as a Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) teacher through University of Massachusetts Medical Center and Brown University. Dr. Bhagat firmly believes in the potential of science-based integrative mindfulness practices in reducing stress and increasing well-being to create conditions for a happier, more contented and meaningful life.

MT Regan is a mindfulness and meditation practitioner with diverse experience including insight meditation, foundations of mindfulness and mindfulness of breathing, and applied mindfulness. A qualified MBSR teacher (Brown University and Mindfulness Northwest) as well as a trained librarian, MT is passionate about healing information disorder, cultivating curiosity, and making contemplative practices accessible to all.
